For the first time in the history of the event, Japan played host to the Rugby World Cup, which saw twenty teams from around the world play a total of 48 matches at 12 venues across Japan.
Following numerous successful partnerships with STH at previous Rugby World Cups, World Rugby awarded STH Group the exclusive rights to operate and manage the Official Supporter Tours programme.
STH appointed a network of Official Travel Agents (OTAs) from around the world to develop and sell match ticket-inclusive supporter tour packages in their territory.
STH is responsible for the appointment and management of the Official Travel Programme, including the appointment of a network of respected Official Travel Agents from around the world.
STH manages each OTA to ensure all activity is compliant and within terms of agreement. Travel packages are checked prior to sale both in terms of content and price, marketing is approved in accordance with brand guidelines and the secondary market is monitored. We also administer ticket allocation and distribution for each OTA.
